SQL Server DBA Tips That Can Save Your A$$ -- Part 2 – sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise

SQL Server DBA Tips That Can Save Your A$$ -- Part 2

In this session we will present and demonstrate many tips & tricks that can help database administrators take the best out of SQL Server. The tips you'll learn in this session will help you improve productivity, availability, security and performance of your system. We picked the topics that are less known and yet have a great impact. The session is based on SQL Server 2016, and includes some of the new features in the new version, but it is relevant also for older versions of SQL Server. Note: Guy presented the first half of this talk in November, 2016. You may want to review the recording which is available at on the meeting archives page.

Guy Glantser, Data Platform MVP, is the leader of the Israeli PASS chapter and also the CEO and founder of Madeira Data Solutions. His career has been focused on the Microsoft Data Platform for the past 20 years, performing various database roles as either an on-site DBA, an external consultant or a speaker. Guy is involved in many activities in the Microsoft Data Platform community. He occasionally speaks at community events, such as PASS Summit, SQLBits, SQL Saturdays and user groups around the world. He also co-hosts the SQL Server Radio podcast.
