SQL Farms: Converting legacy SQL Servers to SQL as a Service – sponsored by Dell Software

In today’s IT departments, flexibility, efficiency and security are key. However, those goals often conflict with the reality of supporting legacy SQL Server Platforms. The goal of this session is to provide you a blueprint to convert your legacy SQL Servers to SQL as a Service, where you can control the server availability, performance, and reliability, yet still take advantage of the resource elasticity and hardware flexibility of an on-demand service. We will specifically address how to use features like AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Resource Governor, and Contained Database to achieve converting your SQL Farm to a Service.
